But with Colors channel coming up with this awesome reality show, Bigg Boss, tables have turned! Now, teens look forward to college and office breaks have become more interesting. Why? All thanks to all the gossip and excitement this reality show gets in.
The concept of Bigg Boss 11
Brought to you Endemol Shine India, this show has gone through changes every season! It began with Arshad Warsi hosting it and then moving to Sanjay Dutt and then finally Salman Khan. This year’s season was also open to the commoners and with the big hit of last season, the show saw a lot of commoners wanting to be a part of this show.
The concept of the show is to have some house inmates and some neighbors who are going to be challenged at every stage of the show.
Bigg Boss 11: Contestants List
This season saw 18 contestants with 4 being the secret neighbors because the housemates have not yet seen or met the so-called ‘padosis’. The contestant’s complete list is here, have a look –
Hiten Tejwani:
He is a very famous actor, who has been in a lot of famous TV serials and few movies too. Happily married and a proud father of two kids, he has come to this show as his return to the Television industry.Hina Khan:
The famous lead actress of the serial that is aired on Star Plus, she is a famous TV actress. After leaving that serial, she has done few other reality shows and enters the Bigg Boss house as quite a promising housemate. She was spotted singing and dancing her way to the house.Shilpa Shinde:
She is better known as the Angoori Bhabhi of the show, ‘Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai’ that was aired on ‘& TV’. She is known to have gained a lot of popularity with that show. At the same time, it is known that she had a lot of controversies with the producer of the show.Priyank Sharma:
The handsome hunk of Bigg Boss 11, he is known to be quite a famous and strong player in other reality shows like Splitsvilla and Roadies, that air on MTV channel. He came in all dancing and seems to be a strong contender.
Vikas Gupta:
He is also a celebrity and is a producer by profession. He is the producer and channel head of a lot of shows that air on & TV, and that is how he already knows the other contestant – Shilpa Shinde. Right on the first day, they entered into a tiff front of Salman khan itself.Benafsha Soonawala:
Another celebrity, who is a Video Jockey (VJ) by profession. She is super cute and adorable and she seemed all charged up and excited to be a part of this season. She is a very lively character and seems to be an entertaining contestant.Zubair Khan:
While the doors were open to a lot of commoners this season, Zubair Khan looks like an exception. It is known that he is the son – in – law of Haseena Parker, who is the sister of none other than Dawood Ibrahim. He is on the show, for his kids and wife who are not living with him.Sapna Choudhary:
She calls herself the celebrity of commoners. She is a very famous Singer and dancer in her hometown, Haryana. She claims to have millions of likes and shares on her videos that can be found on social media. She is here for fame.
Shivani Durga:
Her name is also spelled as SsHivani Durga and she a well-acclaimed saint. She was compared to Baba Om, and she straight away declined that comparison. She holds a double Ph.D. in the field she is in and she is also an occult specialist.Jyoti Kumar:
The youngest contestant on the show was welcomed by Varun Dhawan and Salman Khan. She is here only because she wants to prove that commoners are no less than any celebrity. She is the daughter of a peon and hails from a small town in Bihar.
Bandagi Kalra:
She was seen to enter the house with a dummy WWF match against another contestant. An engineer by qualification, she wants to do something extraordinary in life and hence she is in the house of Bigg Boss.Puneet Sharma:
He himself has so much to talk about himself that words may fall short. He is a businessman who claims to be quite successful. He calls himself someone who loves to have fun at parties and he thinks he is quite popular among girls and women. He hails from Haryana.Akash Anil Dadlani:
He had a weird entry because as per the show, Hiten was the first contestant to enter the BB house, but when he got in, Akash was already in – but in the jail! Then, later he was called out for a formal introduction. He is a rapper from Mumbai. He was declared unfit by the padosi’s and he had to stand under the shower before he could enter the house.Arshi Khan:
She was the opponent of Bandagi Kalra during the mock WWF while entering the house. She spoke her heart out when asked how she is going to survive in the BB house. She says she has come to this place to set the house on fire.
While these were the contestants who entered the house officially, there are 4 padosis – Lucinda Nicholas, Luv Tyagi, Mehjabi Siddiqui and Sabyasachi Satpathy, who are still a mystery for the other contestants.
They are going to get entry into the house soon! So tune into this show, every day at 10:30 PM to witness some awesome bonding between these housemates! Get set with some popcorn, because the housemates are all set while the padosis are also all game to make this season as interesting as possible.
